Zay La Vee’s Magical Moments in Lisbon: A Winter Journey in December 2023
Lisbon is a wonderful welcoming town where you can experience Christmas Markets. We loved it so much that we designed a few shirts to commemorate our trip.

In this blog post, we'll share some highlights of our trip to Lisbon, featuring the delightful Rossio Christmas Market and the sparkling lights of Jardins da Avenida da Liberdade.
Exploring Rossio Christmas Market:
Our first stop was the Rossio Christmas Market, a festive haven nestled in the heart of Lisbon. As we wandered through the stalls adorned with twinkling lights, the air filled with the sweet aroma of mulled wine and traditional Portuguese treats such as Portuguese Custard Tarts (Pasteis de Nata). Pasteis de Nata has a delightful, crispy-crunchy pastry crust with a smooth and creamy custard filling.
Our next stop was Sabor Serrano Serra Da Estrela. This Jamon stall is a must-visit. The stall's collection of Jamon, a traditional Portuguese cured ham, added a savory touch to our experience, making it a true delight for the senses. 
Nestled within the market, were several jewelry stands offering fine handmade pieces, each telling a story of Portuguese craftsmanship. From intricately designed necklaces to elegant bracelets, we were captivated by the skill and artistry on display.

The market offered a perfect blend of local crafts, holiday decorations, and a joyful atmosphere that truly captured the spirit of the season.
Dazzling Lights at Jardins da Avenida da Liberdade:
As evening descended, we made our way to the Jardins da Avenida da Liberdade, where a mesmerizing display of lights awaited us. The iconic tree-lined avenue transformed into a magical corridor adorned with sparkling decorations, creating a fairy-tale ambiance. The enchanting lights, combined with the crisp December air, made for a truly unforgettable experience. We recommend taking a leisurely evening stroll to fully immerse yourself in the festive glow.
