Zay La Vee was founded by two lifelong friends whose story began in a high school art class. Years later, a chance reconnection revealed that the things drawing them together had never really changed: design, travel, and an instinct for noticing beauty in unexpected places.

The idea behind the brand is simple. The places we experience become part of us. We remember a particular shade of blue, the character of an old street, something made by hand, or the way an ordinary afternoon felt somewhere far from home.
